Bachelor of Applied Sciences and Master of Physiotherapy Practice
Deana graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Applied Sciences and Master of Physiotherapy Practice before joining the Total Physiocare team, working at Warringal Private Hospital and our Kew and Heidelberg clinics.Throughout her studies Deana gained clinical experience in musculoskeletal, neurological, cardio-respiratory, paediatrics and women’s health across a range of Melbourne’s hospitals as well as working as a sports trainer for an amateur football club.
Deana comes from a sporting background, competing at an international level in taekwondo and dancing for many years where she developed a keen interest in the rehabilitation and prevention of musculoskeletal and sports injuries. Her areas of special interest include clinical Pilates, physiotherapy for dancers (including pre pointe assessment) and management of osteoarthritis through her involvement with the GLA:D program; all of which she has additional qualifications in.
Outside of work, Deana loves keeping active and can often be found running down by the Yarra or in the ballet studio.
